I Still Smile…It Was The Most Magical Moment of My Life…
How They Met…
I am an Irish girl and I moved to Australia three years ago in Jan 2014 to be with my sister. We love to travel and we travelled to WA to check out what Perth had to offer. The last day of our trip fell on Anzac Day and this is the day that I met my darling Richard. The moment we set eyes on each other we knew we were in trouble. We just connected instantly and chatted all night. We just got on so well. The following day I flew back to Sydney…little did I know it would be the first of our 26 trips across the country between Sydney and Perth to see each other.
The Moment She Knew He Was The One…
It’s a long way to travel to see someone but we knew that we were right for each other from the very beginning so as difficult as the long distance was for the year and a half we didn’t care as one day we knew there would be no more airport goodbyes and that day came nearly two years after we met when Richard got posted to Adelaide and I moved from Sydney to be with him. As sad as it was to say goodbye to my Sydney family I knew that my main happiness was with Richard and I couldn’t wait to begin our next chapter in Adelaide together.
How He Asked…

As everyone close to us knows, my sister sure knows how to throw a party, so her 31st I thought would be no exception.
What I didn’t realise is that Richard and Wendyl (my sister and best friend) had planned one of the biggest surprises of my life.
We went back to Sydney to celebrate with my sister for the weekend and on the 12th of August 2015, Richard proposed…
…I still smile when I think about that moment it was the most magical moment of my life.
It was in my sisters apartment in Sydney when Richard got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
I smile every time I think about that moment and the moments that have followed.
I can’t wait to start planning our future together as I know in Richard I have found my life partner and best friend…
He is my happiness and no matter where we will go in the world I know that as long as Richard is by my side I will always be safe and happy and in love.
